Danish frescoes 2
Overall the frescoes of Arhus Domkirke are of a later Mediëval date, the oldest being from the early 14th century. Most paintings however are from the late 15th and early 16th century.
2. The earliest painting is around the small pointed arched leprosy window. A figure is painted, surrounded by a vine-decoration. Another figure is painted on the arch, but both cannot be identified. 3. St. Eligius (patron of blacksmiths) depicted shoeing a horse
4. Kneeling apostles and a dove (the holy spirit) while God and Jesus kan vaguely be seen floating in heaven. 5. The church is rich with paintings, some depicting biblical scenes, but there are also many decorations.
There are just a couple of paintings in Roskilde Domkirke. They look like 14th century frescoes to me, but I don't have anymore information on them.
